Pistachio

         ORIGIN : TURKEY

Pistachio is the seed of the pistachio tree, also called alfónsigo. This type of tree is characterized by being able to withstand extreme weather conditions very well (from temperatures below 0 to temperatures above 30ºC) and tolerate long periods of drought.
Given this good adaptation to the climate, we can find among the largest products of this nut, the United States, Turkey, Spain; and even and to a lesser extent Greece, Syria, China or Italy.

The pistachio is very rich in minerals, such as potassium, calcium, iron and phosphorus; standing out especially in its high content of folic acid and being the nut with the highest vitamin A. It also contains a large amount of fiber.
